16 Jun An afternoon with Hong Kong actor, Andrew Ng.
I met Andrew a year ago in a Hong Kong filmmaker meetup. We briefly talked, but it was a pleasure hearing his amazing acting experiences with enthusiasm.
I came up with an idea, wanting to try some black and white Irving Penn style portraits with Andrew, and he immediately said yes. So I started to design the dress code to match up his strong look and his outstanding acting skill. So to keep it simple and stylish, we went for a black t-shirt and a fedora hat. It’s actually my first attempt to create black and white photography intentionally. Turned out my photographs have nothing to do with Irving Penn (Okay, okay. I’m still learning.) but I got to admit it: I had so much fun observing the composition, lights, and textures at the amazing old building 大館(Tai Kwun) in Central, Hong Kong. And most importantly, to share both of our passion towards art and creativities.
